Since the first Sheffield Microbe in 1986,Sheffield Microbe has provided high quality, value for money, symposia for local and national Biomedical Scientists. In recent years Microbe has attracted delegates from around the world, and is regularly attended by delegates across Europe. There are currently thirteen committee organisers who organise forth coming Microbe events. Microbe symposia are usually held every 2 years, whereby every 4 years a larger symposia is held at Ranmoor House, Sheffield, UK. Microbe events follow a well proven routine, involving a mixture of current topics and lectures for Biomedical Scientists in Microbiology and related disciplines. Also included is an often oversubscribed Trade Exhibition and Social Programme. Accommodation is included in the full-time delegate fees along with the freebies provided in delegate bags issued upon arrival.
